German Violinist Nina Liepe enjoys a career as a passionate solo-, chamber and orchestra musician. She has been invited to perform in music festivals in Europe, Asia, Canada and the US, including the Taipei Music Festival (Taiwan), Orford Festival Canada, Festival du Haut Limousin (France), Gdansk Music Festival (Poland), Palazzo Ricci Montepulciano (Italy), Transatlantic Music Festival (NYC), Beethovenfest Bonn (GER), Podium Festival Esslingen and Salzburger Festspiele (Austria).

 

She regularly works as a guest concertmaster with orchestras such as Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, Symphony Orchestra Aachen and Neubrandenburger Philharmonie as well as performing as a guest principal of the second violins with the Deutsche Radiophilharmonie Saarbrücken/ Kaiserslautern and Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn. Further engagements include joining the first violins in orchestras such as WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne and NDR Elbphilharmonieorchestra Hamburg.

 

Inspiring concerts- and tours led her to perform in all major concert halls in Germany, as well as worldwide in Rudolfinum Prag, Theatre des Champs- Elysees Paris, Rotterdam Concert Hall, Philharmonia St. Petersburg, Sarasota Performing Arts Hall, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Beijing Concert Hall, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Seoul Arts Center and Taipei National Theatre and Concert Hall.

Nina Liepe studied with Prof. Krzysztof Wegrzyn at the University of Music, Drama and Media in Hanover and Prof. Zakhar Bron at the University of Music and Dance in Cologne, where she graduated in 2012 with a Diploma in Violin Performance with excellence. From 2008 to 2010 she attended Indiana University Bloomington (USA) on a full scholarship. While there she studied with Prof. Mauricio Fuks and graduated with a Performer Diploma with highest distinctions.

 

Additionally, she has taken musical inspiration and guidance from masterclasses and collaborations with renowned artists including Ariadne Daskalakis, Miriam Fried, Lewis Kaplan, Kurt Sassmannshaus, Rosa Fain, Janos Starker, Anthony Spiri, Xenia Jankovic, Dora Bratchkova and the Kuss Quartett.

 

She regularly broadcasts and takes part in productions on radio and television such as WDR Cologne, NDR Hamburg, NDR Hanover, RBB Berlin-Brandenburg, BR Munich, SWR Stuttgart, SR Saarbrücken, Radio Opole (Poland) and CNTV Beijing (China).

 

Numerous awards at competitions have been granted to her, including first prize of nationwide „Jugend Musiziert“, International Violin Competition Kloster Schöntal, International Music Festival Gdansk, Albert- Eckstein- Foundation and OPUS- Klassik 2019 for „Best Symphonic live Recording til the 18th century“ with the dogma chamber orchestra.
